Superior Training Centre joined 20 other Australia education providers to the Australia Southeast Asia Business Exchange
Transnational Education Mission to the Philippines 13-16 May 2024

The Australian Government is committed to deepening Australia’s economic engagement with Southeast Asia to ensure our shared future prosperity. In September 2023, the Australian Prime Minister launched Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. The strategy sets out a practical pathway to increase Australia’s two-way trade and investment with Southeast Asia focussing on key markets and sectors for growth. The Philippines is one of the priority markets identified in the strategy, with Education and Skills identified as a focal sector.

STC brought expertise in construction and trades training with electrotechnology, air conditioning and refrigeration, and engineering fabrication trade. The delegation had meetings with government departments such as TESDA for vocational education and training as well as industry associations, TVET providers, and enterprise education providers.

Transnational Education (TNE) is an important part of international education for Australia and STC would like to play a part in developing training for the Philippines.
