Bulldogs – Canterbury Boys High School and STC

Today was the final training day of a program run by Superior Training Centre (STC) with the assistance of the Department of Education and Canterbury Bankstown Leagues Club. The six-week program run once a week at STC was designed to give the students hands-on training in electrotechnology electrician. Students learned skills such as safety, hand tools, wiring types, fix and secure an outlet. On the final day employers from Stowe Electrical and My Gateway spoke to the students about apprenticeships and employment in the trades. Bulldogs star Josh Reynolds came to congratulate the students and talk about his time as a tradesman and sticking with training to make a career. STC plans to run more programs with schools and other groups to promote the trades as a first choice career.
