To successfully enrol in this unit, applicants must meet the following prerequisites and conditions:

- Completion of UEERA0053 Install, commission, service and maintain medium temperature systems is mandatory, which is part of the UEE32220 Certificate III in Air Conditioning Refrigeration, or equivalent.

Upon successful completion of the training and payment of fees, Superior Training Centre (STC) will issue a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for the units:
- UEERA0005: Apply safety awareness and legal requirements for ammonia refrigerant.
- UEERA0065: Repair and service ammonia refrigeration systems.
