Superior Training Centre attended the CBCC event that featured discussions with the NSW Leader of the Opposition Chris Minns MP regarding the future of Western and South Western Sydney. The theme of diversity and the need for more training featured in Chris Minns address and Q&A.
STC leads the way with a pilot program with the Department of Education featuring in-school vocational trade skills training doing a pre-apprenticeship in electrotechnology. The program is being held at Dunlea Centre in Engadine, and Punchbowl Boys High School that was the school that current MP for the region, Jihad Dib, was a former principal. At the event STC Head Trainer, Tony Siamas outlined the program to Jihad who committed to come back to his old school and view the students at work.
STC also met briefly with the Leader of the Opposition to explain that independent RTOs like STC were working on addressing the skills gap.
